Product Description
Upon hearing that land was still available for homesteading in Alaska. Keith, Shirley and Shirley’s younger brother, left Billings, Montana on March 1, 1959, drove over the Alcan, to arrive in Homer AK on March 18th. Preceeded by a heavy snowstorm, they spent two months waiting for the snow to melt. An original “Alaskan Sourdough,”invited them to live with him and take care of his place while he visited the lower “48.”
