This chicken coop was built mostly by one woman (who did have help with the doors), using a Bathtub Crate as the initial form. It’s built entirely out of recycled materials left over from other projects or just laying around. A few latches and hinges were purchased, but that’s all. This coop is for 6 chickens, but could fit 8. It can be a challenge and somewhat frustrating to build using recycled materials, but satisfying in the end with little money spent. Best feature of all with this coop is how easy it is to clean.

7-19-11 93.15 pounds of my Honky Tonk Manor, 100% steroid-hormone-antibiotic FREE, ALL NATURAL, 100% ORGANIC, partially pasture fed meat chickens are now in my BIG chest deep freeze while this one turns on my brand new Ronco SHOWTIME compact+ 3000 rotisserie.
